This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading a team, and takes ownership of operations, organization, and guest experience. As Team Captain, you'll serve as the primary point person for the team, oversee inventory and scheduling, delegate daily tasks, and track sales, labor, and waste. This role is critical in keeping the shop running smoothly while ownership oversees multiple locations.
Duties:
Team Leadership & Point Person Serve as the main point of contact for staff during shifts Support, guide, and motivate team members on the floor Delegate daily tasks and ensure completion (opening, closing, cleaning, prep) Address minor team concerns, workflow issues, and customer needs Escalate larger issues to ownership when appropriate Lead by example in hospitality, professionalism, and work ethic Inventory & Waste Management Track inventory levels for coffee, milk, syrups, food, and supplies Place and manage orders with vendors Conduct regular inventory counts and audits Track waste and identify opportunities to reduce loss Scheduling & Labor Oversight Create and manage weekly schedules Adjust staffing based on sales trends and business needs Monitor attendance, punctuality, and shift coverage Keep labor costs aligned with sales goals Sales & Operational Tracking Track daily and weekly sales performance Monitor labor-to-sales ratios and waste reports Identify operational pain points and propose solutions Share insights and reports with ownership Customer Experience & Standards Ensure consistent quality, cleanliness, and service standards Handle guest concerns professionally and promptly Maintain compliance with health and safety guidelines
Requirements:
Previous experience in coffee, food service, or hospitality leadership preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable delegating tasks and leading peers Ability to problem-solve independently Experience with scheduling, inventory, or POS systems is a plus Reliable, accountable, and detail-oriented
Pay:
$18.50 - $24.00 per hour
