An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Training employee cooking skill. Product development of current and new sushi items. Communicating with stores based on monthly Merchandise Plan. Creating product schematic at each store. Checking quality of items. Communicating with store strategy. Helping production and merchandise. Helping physical inventory. Helping a new opening store. Creating daily production quantities. Planning sales and profits and managing progress Working with store managers, MD departments, and section managers to support the store from recruiting personnel to product sales Skill checks and training Evaluating and training employees in sections with kitchens (central kitchens, store kitchens) Providing guidance on hygiene management, work efficiency checks, and improving the quality of finished products Evaluating store employees and supporting store managers Improving the accuracy of monthly inventory operations Instructing on the operation of monthly inventory for each location, working to reduce waste, and creating and updating training manuals Instructing on appropriate inventory management, and implementing appropriate plans for consuming excess and expiring products Proposing changes to production plans and order quantities to improve stock-out situations at each store Reviewing production plans for kitchen-manufactured products Proposing revisions to order quantities for vendors and central kitchens Improving promotion of sales-enhancing products Instructing on how to use POP signs, product display quantities, and facings to improve performance Implement promotional activities to increase customer awareness and appeal of imported products from Japan and monthly strategic products Plan and promote new store openings and renovation of existing stores Propose new store openings and renovation of existing stores related to the sushi and fish products you are in charge of, and manage the progress of the plans Provide training and support to acquire human resources' skills Create manuals for education and update them as necessary Comprehensively select fixtures, equipment, and procured products, manage schedules, and manage project progress
•Support MDD-Section Manager's work Express Japanese ingredients, Japanese cooking, Japanese trends, and Japanese quality, which are the core of Japan Specialty Store, in the store Instruct and support Section Manager to strengthen purchasing, product creation, and POP sign development Explore demand by store By focusing on communication and collaboration with stores, grasp potential demand for products by store and use it for MDPLAN and item changes and discontinuations Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in merchandising, retail, or food service, with a focus on sushi or perishable products. Strong knowledge of sushi products, preparation, and presentation. Experience in vendor management, product assortment, and inventory control. Good understanding of food safety standards and quality control processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Passion for Japanese cuisine and culture, with a particular focus on sushi. Japanese language skills are a plus.
