Job Description
Overview Tutti Frutti is a long-established international brand developing a new, reimagined café concept combining food, beverages, desserts, and frozen yogurt in a streamlined boutique café environment. This presents a ground-floor opportunity with a well-known brand positioned for accelerated growth. We are looking for an experienced, restaurant or food-service-trained candidate who understands not only customer service, but also the operations behind the counter required to deliver excellence in every aspect, every day. This is a hands-on position with a management development path. What We Want Candidates should have practical, hands-on experience in: Food preparation, baking, heating, and proper food handling Portion control, food assembly, presentation, and packaging Daily food preparation and service-level planning based on expected business Inventory, receiving, stocking, and waste control Maintaining product quality and consistency Organizing stations and keeping the operation service-ready Managing changing volumes between walk-in, pickup, and online orders Recognizing problems early and adjusting preparation and workflow Training employees to consistently prepare, present, and package products correctly Customer service, POS, and general restaurant operations We particularly value someone who can think as a team player with a clear operational vision: What needs to be prepared this morning? What are we likely to need tonight? What is running low? What are we overproducing? How should we adjust when business suddenly increases or slows down? We need someone who remains calm, in control, and organized when volume fluctuates rather than becoming stressed or overwhelmed. In other words, you must be able to stay cool and calm under pressure. How We Work Our management philosophy emphasizes professionalism and respect—not shouting, intimidation, condescending attitudes, politics, or gossip. We expect our employees to be reliable, take initiative, demonstrate good judgment, stay organized, work as a team, and maintain professional behavior. Growth & Compensation Starting compensation will depend on experience and the overall value you bring to our operation, which will be evaluated through actual performance. For strong performers, increasing responsibility can lead to a clear leadership path: Assistant Manager → Store Manager → Multi-Store/District Leadership → Potential Store Equity Opportunities A fully developed Manager capable of independently operating a successful location has the potential to progress toward base compensation plus profit sharing and/or bonuses in the range of $75,000-$150,000. This presents an opportunity to help grow an individual location and eventually a group of stores, supported by a solid senior management team executing plans to add additional locations. Managers who directly contribute to successful operations, profitability, and location growth will have the opportunity to compete for broader leadership responsibilities, performance incentives, profit participation, and potential future store-operator opportunities. Success is earned; it is not automatic. We need the right talent to achieve our goals, and we will provide opportunities to the best-qualified team members. The timing and level of bonuses and profit sharing will be directly proportional to the Manager's role in achieving the business profitability thresholds established by the company. Without the right team leaders, we cannot succeed. We will always value and reward the people who take ownership, deliver results, and contribute directly to the success of the business. Basic Requirements Previous restaurant, café, QSR, fast-casual, or comparable food-service experience is required. Applicants should have reliable transportation, dependable attendance and punctuality, and sufficient flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends as business needs require. A practical commute of approximately 15-30 minutes to La Verne is preferred. If you understand restaurant operations, can roll up your sleeves and work alongside the team, and want the opportunity to prove yourself and grow into greater responsibility, we would like to hear from you.
