Assistant Spot Manager

The Assistant Spot Manager at Healthy Spot is a leadership role responsible for supporting daily store operations, driving sales goals, and ensuring high-quality pet care services. This role bridges the gap between the core retail staff and the Spot Manager (Store Leader), with an average pay range typically spanning $22 to $23 per hour.

Core Responsibilities Store Operations & Leadership Daily Management:

Oversee shifts, open and close the location, and handle POS registers, returns, and inventory.

Team Coaching:

Train, mentor, and motivate retail associates to build a positive and highly functional team culture.

Performance Metrics:

Monitor sales figures and execute promotional activities to consistently meet or exceed location goals.

Visual Merchandising:

Maintain rigorous brand presentation, structural cleanliness, and fully stocked shelves.

Customer Experience & Community Engagement Nutritional Consulting:

Educate pet parents on premium pet foods, treats, raw food transitions, and supplements.

Service Integration:

Educate clients on internal service lines, seamlessly cross-booking dogs into the Grooming salon and MIND Daycare programs.

Community Support:

Assist with signature community events like in-store Play Dates, holiday costume contests, and community outreach.

Job Requirements & Qualifications Experience:

Previous experience in retail leadership, assistant management, or supervising a high-volume client environment.

Industry Knowledge:

Passion for animals with a baseline understanding of dog behavior and pet nutrition.

Soft Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills to navigate picky pet owners and coach diverse store personalities.

Physical Stamina:

Capacity to remain on your feet for extended periods and manage the energetic nature of a pet-friendly workspace.

Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate:

$22.00 - $23.00 per hour (highly dependent on location and experience).
