About theRole:
Mollie Stone's Markets is looking for a Produce Manager at our Palo Alto location. The perfect candidate will be customer service driven and be flexible working various tasks from day to day.Essential Functions:
Ensure freshness and quality of product upon delivery and restocking Monitor and maintain proper rotation of all fresh product Update and maintain product signage and department appearance Deliver exceptional customer service at all times Manages the department inventories by tracking weekly sales and reports Manage produce department employees, train and develop, and assist in the hiring process for new candidates Control department expenses by improving operation and efficiencies, by controlling labor costs and reducing losses due to shrinkage Ensure that employees work and operate equipment in a safe manner at all times and comply with all requirements and guidelines Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
Previous experience in Produce department At least 1-2 years management experience A passion for unique, fresh food and a team-centered attitude Ability to identify quality or freshness of produce by sight or smell Experience in executing goals, effectively creating change and increasing efficiency in a positive work environment Available to work a flexible shift, including some evenings, weekends, and some holidays Able to travel to multiple locations within Marin Physical Requirements Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.Standing:
Up to 8 hours per day.Walking:
Up to 8 hours per day.Reaching:
