A Retail Store Manager manages a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

We're not a big corporate chain, and we're not looking for a cookie-cutter corporate manager. We're looking for someone with an owner-operator mindset, leadership experience and the ambition to take charge of a well-established local business. As Store Manager, you'll be the face and leader of the store. Once training is complete, you'll have substantial autonomy to manage the store, build your team and bring your own personality and ideas to the business. You'll also have a voice beyond day-to-day operations—including participating in product meetings with suppliers and helping select merchandise based on trends and what your customers want. We provide the framework, expectations and support. You bring the leadership, personality, ideas and drive to make the store your own. WHAT YOU'LL DO
This is a hands-on retail management position. You'll be on the sales floor working alongside your team and interacting with customers—not sitting in an office. You'll be responsible for: Leading, coaching and developing your sales team Recruiting and building a dependable staff Delivering exceptional customer service Selling and leading by example Driving individual and store sales performance Creating schedules and maintaining proper coverage Maintaining merchandising and store presentation standards Keeping the sales floor and stockroom organized and efficient Receiving merchandise and maintaining inventory accuracy Handling day-to-day employee and operational issues Participating in product selection and buying Contributing ideas for promotions, marketing and improving the business Identifying problems and taking ownership of solving them
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
2-3+ years of retail management experience is preferred , but we're also open to someone with strong leadership experience, ambition and the ability to step up and take charge. COMPENSATION
$22-$25 per hour, depending on experience Plus Personal Sales Commission — Your own sales performance directly increases your compensation. Plus Monthly Store Performance Bonus — When your store performs, you have the opportunity to earn more. Your compensation can grow through both your personal performance and the success of the team you lead.

SCHEDULING & AUTONOMY
The Store Manager creates their own schedule within basic staffing and coverage requirements. We believe responsible managers should have flexibility in managing their own time and their team.
With that freedom comes accountability:
the store needs to be properly staffed, well managed and performing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Retail is active work. Applicants must be able to stand for extended periods and regularly bend, kneel, climb ladders, carry merchandise, receive shipments and put away stock.
