Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operational support for a construction shop in South San Francisco, California. This position will coordinate the movement of tools, equipment, and supplies while helping maintain an efficient, safe, and organized facility. The role also includes guiding a small team and serving as a key link between the office, vendors, and active job sites.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and organize the daily work of two team members, providing direction and support to keep operations on schedule.
  • Coordinate the receipt of tools and equipment from suppliers and arrange timely distribution to field crews and project locations.
  • Manage incoming office shipments, confirm accuracy of deliveries, and maintain organized tracking of received items.
  • Plan and oversee deliveries of materials and equipment to active job sites to support uninterrupted project execution.
  • Purchase office and operational supplies, monitor stock levels, and ensure items are distributed where needed.
  • Perform or coordinate basic upkeep and minor repairs for the office, shop, and yard to maintain a functional work environment.
  • Monitor inventory of tools and equipment to help ensure availability, accountability, and readiness for field use.
  • Follow job site safety expectations, including the use of required protective gear during deliveries and site visits.
