• Job Summary and Qualifications
• Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Transport Department and is on-call if needed for emergencies.
• a. The Supervisor manages the schedule to ensure adequate coverage for department activities and works the various staff positions when scheduled.
• b. The Supervisor is the department trainer and sets training and development objectives and ensures competency of department employees.
• c. The Supervisor makes work assignments and sets departmental goals and objectives and ensure compliance with Joint Commissions (TJC) standards, along with other regulatory policy and procedures.
• d. The Supervisor audits and approves invoices for payment and ensures the department stays within budget guidelines and meets its financial objectives.
• e. The Supervisor facilitates problem resolution with its customers and takes corrective when necessary to ensure the department runs smoothly and efficiently with attention to customer satisfaction.

Transport Job Duties Including:

• i. Transports patients of all age ranges, supplies, and equipment throughout the entire hospital using carts, wheelchairs, and beds.
• ii. Generally assists technologists/nurses in moving patients to exam tables and ensures communication forms are filled out completely by all staff.
• iii. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
• iv. Performs a variety of clerical activities.
• v. Maintains cleanliness of transport equipment.

Position Requirements:

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• - Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.

Education:

Experience:

1 year of Hospital Transport Experience-

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Prior patient care experience desirable.
