We are looking to hire an Assistant Manager at this growing franchise! We are looking for an enthusiastic Manager to provide oversight for all operations of our Westminster location. The Manager assists with all floor operations at the location and is responsible for making sure the store functions smoothly while optimizing profits. The Assistant Manager will help direct restocking efforts, the floor merchandising plan, as well as conduct hiring, scheduling and training. In this position, the Assistant Manager must be able to happily interact with Store Manager, customers and their furry friends, making sure that each customer has a great experience at Pet Supplies Plus, no matter how legs they walk in on! The Assitant Manager must also command respect and motivate hourly personnel to perform at their maximum capacity, keeping the store in good working order. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of sales, staff training, merchandising, ordering, and marketing as well as strong people-skills and an eagerness to learn. Assitant Manager Duties and Responsibilities Train, manage, and regularly evaluate staff performance Manage all store operations and delegate responsibilities Supervise employees, providing coaching and mentorship to optimize productivity and increase sales. Address customer complaints/feedback in a professional manner. Uphold compliance with all legal, health, and safety guidelines Conduct coaching. Retail Assistant Manager Requirements and Qualifications Strong working knowledge of management best practices Solid communication and interpersonal skills Exceptional organization, strategic planning, and leadership skills Strong style sense and an eye for merchandising Familiarity with data analysis and customer traffic principles Computer skills, including retail management software
