In this energetic role, you will support the Owner in overseeing daily operations, leading a motivated sales team, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Your leadership will help create a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and employees thrive. Duties Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures Lead, motivate, and supervise sales associates to achieve sales goals and deliver outstanding customer service. Support hiring, onboarding, training, and developing team members to foster a high-performing flooring retail environment. Oversee merchandising, product placement, pricing strategies, and promotional displays to maximize sales. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels. Work Tuesday to Saturday every week Project Management Skills Proven experience in flooring or related industry in retail management or assistant manager roles with strong leadership capabilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and engage customers effectively. Strong organizational skills for managing quotes, scheduling installations, and overseeing store operations. Proficiency with CRM systems, emails, basic math skills. Ability to negotiate with vendors and suppliers while managing purchasing and pricing strategies. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer and installer bases. Demonstrated experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff. Knowledge of flooring/home improvement retail industry sales techniques, merchandising standards, and inventory management practices. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with operational management including budgeting, marketing initiatives, and store product knowledge.
