RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service Offers the highest quality customer service, leads staff by example. Greets customers, answering questions/concerns as needed. Answer phone calls as required, using proper etiquette. Take messages or transfer calls to get information to proper parties. Offer storewide customer support. Supervising Monitor cashiers and assist with any returns, overrides, or customer concerns. Ensure staff is completing checklists throughout the day, keeping everyone on task. Walk the store periodically during the shift to check on all staff and answer any questions or concerns as needed. Assign tasks to stockers or cashiers as needed when the store gets slower. Confirm cashier and stocker checklists have been completed properly. Store Responsibilities Maintain security of the store during shifts. Ensure the store is closed following proper security procedures. Keep the store in clean, orderly condition during shifts. Clean any spills or hazardous conditions. Handle shoplifters, disorderly customers, medical emergencies, or incidents following proper procedures. Complete supervisor task lists by end of night. Make sure the store is ready for opening the following day. Communicate any issues or important information to openers or managers for the next day.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion. Perform occasional physical motions such as kneeling, bending, climbing, and pushing/pulling. Understand and retain directions. Excellent communication skills, whether it be verbal, notes, or emails. Ability to use problem solving skills to work autonomously, make judgment calls, and use data or circumstance to evaluate and solve a problem. Work in a cooperative manner with all coworkers. Maintain composure under any circumstance. Give clear instruction, while also exhibiting strong listening and interpersonal skills.
