Position:
Store Manager Starting pay : $23.00 to $25.50 per hour (based on experience). Hourly Pay does not include store bonuses or commission earned. The Store Manager is responsible for managing the overall operation and profitability of the store. Additionally, the Store Manager leads associates to create and maintain the Perfumania experience. As a proven leader, Perfumania expects its Store Managers to spend most of his or her time recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, directing, and supervising Sales Associates to optimize Customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Generation and Customer Service
- Successfully lead the team on the sales floor and support on floor coverage by demonstrating and providing superior service to every customer
- Pursues sales growth and strives to meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans
- Provide direction to sales team regarding company goals and objectives Monitor Sales Associates customer service and sales performance, provide ongoing coaching & guidance, as needed Communicate store trends and recommendations to District Manager Resolve Customer disputes in a professional manner Recruiting, Training and Development Ensure adequate staffing through consistent recruiting and networking efforts, including hiring, training, and developing a sales-orientated team Provide effective training to ensure all Sales Associates are educated in such procedures as; opening, closing, cashiering, returns and other functions related to the operations of the store Delegate duties and responsibilities to foster a sense of ownership among the staff and to increase efficiency of store operations Communicate feedback to District Manager with regard to sales and Sales Associate performance Visual Merchandise Management• Review monthly marketing memos to ensure proper execution of in-store promotions Educate Sales Associates on how to implement, evaluate and create visual displays based on Perfumania guidelines Present merchandise in a manner that will maximize sales and achieve optimum merchandise turn Provide District Manager with feedback on sales promotions, marketing and visual displays Operations Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met, including workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention Ensure that all Human Resources paperwork (pan forms, separation forms and new hire paperwork etc.
) is promptly & accurately completed and ensure compliance with all state and federal wage and hour laws Identify underperforming metrics and develop strategies that leverage company programs, tools, and resources to improve and grow the business Responsible for monitoring schedules and payroll hours on a weekly basis using key business reports and payroll tools Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a fast-paced retail management position, or other relevant work experience
- Proven track record of leading a team to achieve sales and customer service targets
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexible availability to work during peak retail hours such as nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or equivalent work experience preferred Skills
- Proficient with basic technology (POS system, & Microsoft Office programs)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to react under pressure and use good judgment in ambiguous situations. Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day
- Bending, rotating, and reaching conducive to a retail environment and to receiving, pricing and stocking merchandise
