Destin, FL We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to join our retail management team. This position supports the Store Manager with the day-to-day operation of the store, including employee supervision, customer service, merchandising, inventory, receiving, and overall store organization. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment, assisting customers, supervising employees, and helping ensure the store operates efficiently and successfully. Key Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager with daily store operations and overall team supervision. Provide leadership and direction to store employees during assigned shifts. Ensure customers receive friendly, professional, and efficient service. Assist with training employees and reinforcing company policies and procedures. Help maintain appropriate staffing and coordinate employee duties throughout the shift. Monitor the sales floor to ensure merchandise is properly stocked, organized, and presented. Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and register reconciliation. Receive merchandise from vendor deliveries and assist with unloading shipments. Verify merchandise received against packing lists and purchase orders. Ensure received products are properly entered, organized, and added to inventory. Assist with inventory counts, stock organization, replenishment, and merchandise transfers. Prepare merchandise for vendor returns and complete required return/RMA documentation. Help resolve customer questions, concerns, returns, and exchanges professionally. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and visually appealing store environment. Support loss prevention procedures and report inventory or operational concerns to management. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Store Manager. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED required. Previous retail experience preferred. Previous supervisory or management experience is strongly preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Customer-service oriented with a professional attitude. Comfortable using computers and point-of-sale systems. Ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted. Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed.
