Boardwalk Vapes - Destin Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Assistant Manager to join our team at Boardwalk Vapes - Destin. In this role, you will support daily store operations, help guide the team, and contribute to overall store performance. You will be responsible for helping create a positive shopping experience, staying up to date on product knowledge, and ensuring transactions and store procedures are completed correctly. You will work closely with the Store Manager to assist with assigned responsibilities and help ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to standard. This position is centered around consistency, accountability, and teamwork—being someone the Store Manager and team can rely on to help keep the store running smoothly. Our ideal candidate is outgoing, reliable, and detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic and the ability to take initiative when needed while working within a team environment. Duties Supporting daily store operations and overall team performance Assisting with assigned tasks and helping ensure responsibilities are completed efficiently Operating the Point of Sale (POS) system and assisting with customer transactions Maintaining a strong knowledge base of store products Helping ensure company policies and safety procedures are followed Assisting with training and supporting Sales Associates Maintaining store cleanliness, organization, and visual standards Assisting with inventory tasks, including stock control, counts, and expiration checks Independently opening and closing the store when needed Upselling products and promoting current deals and promotions Supporting positive, helpful, and engaging customer interactions Assisting with problem-solving and handling customer concerns when needed Requirements Previous management or assistant management experience strongly preferred Fluent in English Previous experience in a vape shop, smoke shop, dispensary, or strong product knowledge preferred Strong communication and leadership skills Basic understanding of math and cashier skills Works well with others and can also operate independently Reliable, detail-oriented, and consistent in performance
