Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and responsible Daytime Keyholder to join our retail team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a leader during daytime hours 2:30PM-8:30PM, ensuring smooth store operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a welcoming environment for shoppers. As a keyholder, you will be entrusted with opening and closing the store, supervising team members, and supporting sales initiatives. Your proactive approach and management skills will help drive store success while fostering a positive shopping experience for all customers. Duties Open and close the store according to established procedures, ensuring security protocols are followed. Lead daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and sales floor organization. Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly. Supervise and motivate team members, including training new staff on POS systems, customer service standards, and operational procedures. Manage cash handling, POS transactions, and reconcile daily sales to ensure accuracy. Oversee inventory control processes such as stocking, ordering supplies, and conducting stock counts. Support sales goals through effective merchandising, pricing strategies, and promotional activities. Enforce store policies on safety, cleanliness, and organization to maintain a professional environment. Requirements Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within the retail industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and communicate clearly. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences. Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping principles. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations swiftly. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in grocery stores or retail sales teams is advantageous. Knowledge of retail math concepts such as pricing strategies and sales analysis. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
