Job Description
POLK COUNTY, FLORIDA
- In Lakeland, Winter Haven, Auburndale, Lake Alfred, Highland City, Mulberry, Bartow and occasionally Davenport.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW TEAM MEMBERS AT OUR HIGHLAND
CITY andWINTER HAVEN LOCATIONS. POSITIONS START IMMEDIATELY, BUT DCF PRESCREENING CAN TAKE UP TO 30 DAYS. POSITIONS ALL POSITIONS ARE PART-TIME FOR SCHOOL-AGE SITE MANAGERS, CO-SITE MANAGERS, AND GROUP LEADERS. HOURS
- PART-TIME ONLY School Year/School Days
- Before & After School
- MUST be able to work Mon-Fri 6:30am
- 8:00am OR 2:00pm
- 6:00pm or BOTH. Early Release days (one per month) staff will be required to come in at 11:00a.m. instead of 2:00. We prefer Site Managers work both a.m. and p.m. shifts. (If hired to work at our Preschool, the hours may differ if applicable.) Summer Hours

Note:
If hired, your position will start as soon as the State has cleared you for work so you can begin your training. Summer working opportunities are available at select sites and for summer hours you would transfer to one of the open locations. PAY $14.00- $21.

Passing a Level 2 Background Screening Clearance is a requirement to work for our company and for working in a licensed childcare facility in the state of Florida. If you are hired, you must already have OR we can schedule you to get yourLEVEL 2 FINGERPRINTING AND BACKGROUND SCREENING CLEARANCE
throughFDLE/FBI/DCF.
If hired, we will setup and pre-pay for your appointment for fingerprinting. If you are hired, we MUST have your clearance BEFORE you will be able to start working. This can take a few days up to 30 days depending on how fast the State can obtain your clearance.WE ARE LICENSED BY DCF AND CONTRACTED WITH ELC AND PCSB DCF

JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for energetic, creative, responsible professionals who love working with children 4-12 years of age for our Polk County School based KidCare Programs.- Must be DEDICATED, DEPENDABLE and able to communicate easily with administrators, other staff, children and parents.
- Must have a passion and want to care, teach and make a difference in the children's lives located in our community.
- MUST be able to be at work
EVERYDAY
Monday- Friday during your scheduled hours.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older to apply for a Group Leader Position.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older to apply for a Site Manager Position and have the right DCF Credentials and Experience.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED or higher.

All KidCare locations are required to be licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). KidCare programs are contracted with the Polk County School Board (PCSB) and with the Early Learning Coalition of Polk County (ELC) .DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities for all positions include but are not limited to working with administrator's, supervisors, staff, parents, children, DCF, PCSB, and ELC. You must be dependable, responsible, be a role model to staff and children, able to multitask, priori t ize, and meet deadlines. You will need to bend/stoop/squat be able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs, get on the floor or ground inside and outside with your children, etc. You must be able to create lesson plans with fun, active, and creative enrichment learning ex periences. You'll need to carry out the created lesson plans with the children while following a schedule and on occasion work the schedule with some flexibility. You must be able to complete required daily paperwork and forms for record keeping. You'll be re sponsible for set up and clean up of centers with required toys, materials and play equipment inside and outside as well as provid ing a safe, loving and learning atmosphere for the children. You must be able to communicate, follow appropriate disciplinary, poli cies and procedures regarding children, staff and the company. You will be responsible for the overall daily cleaning this includes but is not limited to, sweeping, mopping, tables, chairs, toys and equipment, bathrooms, sanitizing, disinfecting when applicable, and maintain a clean and well-organized area/classroom/center.FIRST AID & CPR
First Aid & CPR (must be Adult, Child, Infant) is required within 30 days of hire and must remain valid during your employment. We have someone who gives these courses here on our staff and we'll set you up with a new or renewal appointment as needed to keep you in compliance. The course is $40.00 for both or $20.00 each if taken separately and is good for 2 years. This can be payroll deducted in $20.00 increments if necessary. After you have been with the company for 1 year, the company will pay our First Aid & CPR course instructor for your Bi-Yearly renewal!TRAINING COURSE REQUIREMENTS

These hours are at your own time and expense, if applicable. Once your hired, we have the books for you to study for Part 1 and Part 2 of Facility hours, so you do not have to pay for each course study unless you just want to. You would be required to pay for the CLOCK testing hours which at this time is $1.00 per hour, so a 6-hour course test cost is $6.00, an 8-hour course test is $8.00 and so on. Tests take 10 to 30 minutes each to complete and are done at a location chosen by Polk State. You schedule to take a course test or multiple tests if you'd like to do more than one at a time, then call your supervisor to obtain a course book to study for the week before you take the test. Borrowing our books and studying for the tests rather than studying them on the DCF web site will save you $80.00. The required testing is done through Polk State College, and we will give you the information you need to get signed up and knocked out these courses in no time!LITERACY

The Company will have several hours each year that are FREE for you to obtain your yearly maintenance hours. We send out em ployee memos or information as these courses occur but you are required to complete any remaining hours at your own time and expense as necessary to stay in compliance.
