Job Description
Job Overview Cake For Dinner, an Atlanta-based clothing for young women, is looking for a part-time store manager for our first retail location in WaterColor Town Center. This role is very flexible and has potential for growth within the company. Hours are flexible and potential for benefits. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the retail sales team, fostering a motivating environment that encourages high performance and excellent customer service. Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS system management, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, purchasing, and inventory control to optimize product availability and minimize shrinkage. Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff to build a skilled and engaged team capable of delivering outstanding retail experiences. Implement sales strategies and marketing initiatives to increase store traffic and sales revenue while maintaining budgetary goals. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate expectations, provide feedback, and promote a cohesive work environment. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty. Qualifications Proven management experience within the retail industry Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, training & development, and managerial communication. Extensive knowledge of POS systems, inventory management tools, merchandising techniques, and retail math principles. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple responsibilities. Exceptional communication skills coupled with strong leadership qualities to motivate staff and enhance team performance. We are a small, hardworking team and we love what we do!
