Shop Manager

Shop Manager - Cartersville Trucks, LLC Cartersville Trucks, LLC is seeking a Shop Manager to lead and run the shop floor , not just oversee it. This position requires someone who takes full ownership of the shop, drives productivity, and holds technicians accountable to high standards. Position Overview The Shop Manager is responsible for leading daily operations, controlling workflow, and setting the pace of the shop . This individual will be hands on when needed, ensuring work gets done correctly, efficiently, and without excuses. This is not a passive management role, you are expected to lead from the front, solve problems in real time with your co workers, and keep the shop moving at all times. Key Responsibilities Lead the shop team daily: YOU set expectations, pace, and standards Assign, monitor, and push jobs through efficiently Hold technicians accountable for performance, quality, and turnaround time Step in and assist when needed to prevent bottlenecks Ensure all vehicles are completed properly and ready for sale/delivery Maintain strict organization of parts, tools, and workflow Monitor inventory of parts and fluids making sure we have no shortages or last minute "we don't have brake pads for this" Coordinate directly with sales and management on vehicle status Enforce cleanliness, safety, and professionalism in the shop Identify problems early and fix them before they slow production Maintain urgency , not asking for people to be running at a 10 all day but creating consistency for the long haul. What This Role Requires A leader , not a supervisor Someone who takes ownership of results , not just tasks Ability to make decisions quickly and confidently Strong communication with technicians, sales staff, and management High level of discipline, organization, and accountability Ability to work without being told what to do Qualifications Experience in automotive or diesel shop operations preferred Strong understanding of parts, fluids, and shop workflow Valid driver's license required English required; Spanish is a plus Work Schedule Monday - Friday (40 hours per week) Occasional Saturdays as needed Physical Requirements & Work Environment (Keep your original section here — it's solid and covers liability) Compensation & Benefits Weekly pay (first week held back) 90-day probationary period 50% employer-paid healthcare after probation 401(k), dental, vision, and additional benefits available High-volume shop — steady work, no downtime Team-oriented environment Opportunities for advancement With that being said: If you're the type that: Waits to be told what to do Avoids confrontation or accountability Lets work pile up This is not the position for you.
