Job Description
About us eWheelz Golf Carts is a agile and professional small business operating in 4 locations. Position Overview The Sales Manager is responsible for the full operational performance of a golf cart dealership location, including sales, rental operations, and Support Shop Manager with service/repair shop management. This role combines revenue generation, team leadership, inventory control, and customer experience oversight. The ideal candidate understands both retail sales dynamics and light automotive/service operations, with the ability to drive profitability while maintaining operational discipline. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales & Revenue Management Lead all golf cart sales activities (new and used units), ensuring achievement of monthly and annual revenue targets Develop and implement sales strategies, promotions, and pricing adjustments based on market conditions Train and manage sales staff on product knowledge, financing options, and closing techniques Monitor sales KPIs (conversion rates, average ticket size, margins) and adjust tactics accordingly Build relationships with repeat customers, commercial accounts, and local partners 2. Rental Operations Oversee daily rental fleet operations, including availability, scheduling, and utilization rates Optimize pricing strategies based on demand, seasonality, and local events Ensure efficient check-in/check-out processes and strong customer service standards Monitor fleet condition and coordinate timely maintenance to minimize downtime Track rental KPIs such as utilization rate, revenue per unit, and damage/loss ratios 3. Service & Repair Shop Management (Support) Support Shop Manager and/or Mechanics and ensure efficient workflow in the shop Support Manage service scheduling, turnaround times, and quality control Support Shop Manager with Ensure proper diagnostics, repair standards, and documentation Support Shop Manager with Control parts inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships Support Maintain profitability of the service department through labor efficiency and margin control 4. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, train, and manage sales, rental, and service staff Set performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations Foster accountability, productivity, and a results-driven culture Resolve personnel issues and maintain a professional work environment 5. Inventory & Asset Management Manage inventory levels for golf carts, parts, and accessories Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for timely deliveries Maintain accurate inventory records and reduce shrinkage Oversee fleet lifecycle management (acquisition, rotation, resale) 6. Financial & Operational Oversight Control operating costs such as labor, parts, and overhead Prepare reports on sales, rentals, service performance, and financial metrics Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations 7. Customer Experience Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across all departments Handle escalated customer issues and resolve complaints effectively Maintain strong online and local reputation through service quality Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience in retail management, automotive, powersports, or similar industry Proven track record in sales leadership and revenue growth Experience managing service or repair operations is strongly preferred Strong understanding of inventory management and operational processes Leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Monthly sales revenue and gross margin Rental fleet utilization and profitability Service department labor efficiency and turnaround time Customer satisfaction and repeat business Inventory turnover and shrinkage Overall store profitability Compensation Base salary + performance-based bonus (sales, rentals, and service KPIs) Work Environment Combination of showroom, outdoor lot, and service shop environment Requires hands-on involvement in daily operations Weekend and extended hours may be required
