Job Description

Job Title:
Store Manager Pay:
$22.65 - $24.35 Job Summary __ The Store Manager is responsible for supervising, directing, and managing all phases of store operations. The Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the store, obtaining maximum sales and margins, ensuring maximum standards of customer service, the development of staff and meeting all targeted projections and goals through the effective utilization of available personnel and resources. Examples of the Store Manager's responsibilities include but are not limited to staffing, training, scheduling, inventory control, equipment maintenance, loss prevention, growing sales and enhancing product ability by offering unique, high-quality products in an inviting, customer oriented environment.
Responsibilities Customer Service Leadership :
Foster a positive, service-focused environment for customers by upholding the Company's World Class Service standards. Ensure all team members demonstrate exceptional service.
Team Management :
Lead and mentor department managers and associates, handling hiring, coaching, and performance evaluations. Facilitate regular store meetings to maintain alignment and motivation across teams.
Operational Compliance :
Ensure adherence to all store and company policies, including safety, cash handling, loss prevention, and customer service. Maintain accurate records of store activities, employee evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
Security and Loss Prevention :
Address any areas of possible loss due to theft, shoplifting, free bagging, fraud and/or carelessness. Implement and maintain effective security standards and procedures for all areas within the store.
Regulatory Compliance :
Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations. Ensure compliance with all store housekeeping and sanitation standards so that the store is appealing to customers.
Inventory and Product Management :
Ensure and enforce inventory control procedures to maximize product freshness, quality, turnover and availability for maximum sales and return on investment. Direct store personnel to keep perishable merchandise rotated in accordance with product dates and store policy, and to minimize out-of-stocks or overstocks, damaged, shrinkage and spoiled products.
Financial Oversight :
Contain store expenses, including established labor budgets and utilize energy conservation practices to meet budgetary goals. As necessary, order and control supply usage.. Perform product gross margin calculations and assist in determining correct retail pricing for store items. Ensure that all merchandise is being properly priced.
Merchandising Standards :
Maintain store presentation by ensuring optimal stock levels, accurate signage, and appealing displays. Enforce company standards for shelf organization and product placement.
Documentation and Reporting :
Complete all required documentation, including business reports, correspondence, and operational manuals. Communicate effectively with upper management to keep all stakeholders informed.
Equipment and Facility Management :
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and used safely. Promptly report any maintenance issues to the District Manager.
Customer Engagement :
Respond to customer inquiries and special requests professionally and effectively, fostering positive interactions and satisfaction.
Communication and Relationships :
Cultivate positive relationships with team members, vendors, and customers. Maintain clear, professional communication across all departments and with external partners.
Adaptability and Mobility :
Travel to assist other store locations or attend corporate meetings as needed. Perform physical tasks, including ladder use, when necessary.
Skills Technical Knowledge :
Familiar with electrical and cooking equipment, food preparation tools, and safety practices.
Time Management :
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Operational Proficiency :
Skilled in operating all necessary store equipment.
Effective Communication :
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English for effective interactions with customers, team members, and management.
Analytical Skills :
Proficient in performing calculations for budgeting, scheduling, and profit analysis.
Leadership and Delegation :
Capable of leading and motivating team members, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Professionalism :
Consistently maintains a positive and productive attitude, even under pressure.

Requirements Scheduling Flexibility :
Must be able to work a full-time schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements :
Capable of handling physical tasks required by the role, including lifting and occasional ladder use. Qualifications Minimum 7 years of retail and/or service experience required. 3 years in a management or supervisory role. High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic computer skills required. Well-organized and detail-oriented and able to multi-task. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must comply with all company policies and requirements. TB Clearance required. Education & Experience High School (HS) diploma or equivalent, preferred Minimum of one (7) year retail, preferred Minimum of one (3) year Supervisory or assistant management, preferred Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 30lbs and frequently bend and twist from the waist. #TA1 Experience Required 3 year(s): Management or supervisory role experience required. 7 year(s): Retail and/or service experience required.
