Job Summary:

Supervises and supports the detailing staff in development of complex Building Information Modeling (BIM) models and construction drawings. Transforms initial product designs into working documents using design software. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawing and final designs.

Responsibilities:

Training:

Onboards and facilitates training for new VDC Specialists. Assists in training needs for trade detailers.

Project Setup:

Assists with overall project set up. Determines how the building will be split for drawings, drawing lists, and other information that will be needed. Sets up the models that will be used by the VDC Staff. QA /

QC:

Helps make sure deliverables meet downstream standards / quality checks. Develops tools that can be used for automatic model checks.

Technical Support:

Acts as the first level of support for the VDC Specialists, helps support trade detailers.

Model Application:

Makes sure model is properly set up to support downstream workflows. This includes field layout, hardware integrations, and Stratus for shop / field. Helps evaluate and implement new ways to utilize the model.

Electrical Detailing/Engineering Support:

Supports Electrical Department and their daily detailing/engineering needs. Manages and helps develop the Electrical REVIT template and other electrical design support software. Acts as the first line back and hands on support for detailing and design drawing when the current electrical team is extended beyond their capacity.

Requirements:

5-7 years of detailing or related craft experience Associate's Degree in
