A Retail Operations Supervisor manages daily operations and activities for a retail company, often across multiple stores. Supervises staff, oversee projects and daily work activities. May have responsibility for managing supplies and materials, budgets or customer relations; may serve as liaison to senior management.
40 per week Terrace Cannabis is seeking a dedicated and experienced Agent in Charge (AIC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, particularly within the cannabis industry, and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management :
Supervise and support budtenders and other staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to company policies.
Customer Service Excellence :
Oversee customer interactions, ensuring a friendly and helpful experience that promotes customer loyalty. Address and resolve customer questions, concerns, and complaints.
Compliance & Regulation :
Ensure all operations comply with cannabis retail regulations, including verifying customer identification and maintaining a secure and compliant environment.
Sales Operations :
Manage point of sale (POS) systems, including handling cash and ensuring accurate transactions. Assist in opening and closing procedures, maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Inventory Management :
Assist with inventory audits, restocking merchandise, and maintaining an organized and clean sales floor and display cases.
Training & Development :
Provide training to staff on cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods. Ensure all team members complete the required 8 hours of cannabis knowledge training per calendar year.
Administrative Support :
Assist with administrative tasks, including answering phones, fulfilling orders, and supporting management with various duties.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Strong knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods. 1-3 years of retail management or supervisory experience, preferably in the cannabis industry. Friendly, personable, and service-oriented with excellent communication skills. Experience with POS systems and handling cash transactions. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods. Strong understanding of state regulations related to cannabis operations. Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends. Minimum 21 years of age with a valid driver's license or state ID. Must pass any required background checks
