Job Description
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an organized and efficient Assistant Manager to join our team at our 805 Salem Rd location in Mount Vernon. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the store's daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and helping to lead and develop our team members.
Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations and ensuring smooth functioning of all departmentsProvide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues promptly and professionallySupport in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandiseHelp train, supervise, and motivate team members to maintain high performance standardsEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulationsAssist in creating and implementing strategies to meet sales goals and improve store performanceHandle cash management duties, including register operations and bank depositsMaintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environmentStep in for the Store Manager in their absence, making key decisions as neededQualificationsProven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team membersExcellent customer service skills and a passion for creating positive customer experiencesStrong communication abilities, both verbal and writtenDemonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressureEfficient time management and organizational skillsProficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale systemsPrevious retail or customer service experience requiredManagement or supervisory experience preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferredFlexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPhysical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 poundsKnowledge of retail industry trends and best practices is a plusAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
