The Build Shop Supervisor leads, develops, and holds accountable a team of Master Builders and Build Shop Assistants within Club Champion's custom build shop, where clubs are built and finished from the ground up: shafts, grips, heads, and ferrules, to exact swing weight and alignment specifications. This role owns quality and cost outcomes across the full build process. The Supervisor sets standards for build accuracy, material usage, and shop discipline; investigates root causes behind rework and rejected inspections; drives corrective action through training and process improvement. Deep technical knowledge of club building supports this role, applied hands-on when needed to cover volume or demonstrate technique. Success in this role depends on leadership: enforcing consistent standards, developing the team, partnering with other department leaders to maintain quality from build through ship.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead daily operations across the full build process, including assembly, swing weight adjustment, gripping, and finishing: ferrule turning, lie/loft bending, and cleaning. Train new team members. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to Master Builders and Build Shop Assistants. Hold the team accountable to consistent build standards and shop discipline. Investigate root causes behind rework and rejected inspections. Drive corrective action through training and process discipline. Track KPIs, including build accuracy, rework/rejected-inspection rate, and material waste. Report on trends. Monitor materials and supply usage, particularly higher-cost components, to minimize waste and control build cost. Partner with other department leaders to maintain consistency from build through ship. Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shop environment. Build or finish clubs hands-on as needed to cover volume or demonstrate technique. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or GED equivalent 1+ years of experience supervising employees in a production, manufacturing, or hands-on build environment. Hands-on golf club building/finishing experience (assembly, swing weighting, alignment, ferrule work, lie/loft adjustment) strongly preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). Problem solver, strong attention to detail, and a quality-first mindset. Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and non-verbal. Comfortable tracking data and KPIs and turning them into action. Solid leadership, communication, and organizational skills. General familiarity with warehousing operations is a plus.WORK ENVIRONMENT
