Job Description
This position will manage the overall functions in the ag shop and field repairs. This position is authorized to perform the steps necessary to ensure its responsibilities are met. Develop a system to coordinate all in-shop repairs, maintenance, and field service on any/all agricultural and construction equipment. Maintain accurate service records and cost of repairs on all pieces of equipment. Work with the Ag Shop Foreman on understanding what tools are necessary and equipment needed for the Ag Shop. Hire, train, and develop employees assigned to perform repairs and maintenance activities. Manage a team of shop personnel including the Ag Shop Foreman and Shop Technicians in their day-to-day activities. Maintain a positive work environment and strong culture with the team. Manage the shop work schedule to reflect the priorities set by Production Location Manager. Develop ways to be resourceful in the shop by doing more complex tasks in-house when able. Assist the team as needed with in-field repairs and maintenance. Seek to improve customer experience throughout Beck s different departments by engaging the shop team. Budget and review annual expenses of the shop team s operation. Perform any other jobs necessary to help make Beck s operation a success.
