Position Summary Gates Honda is seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive dealership growth. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a strong track record in automotive retail sales, team development, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This individual will be responsible for maximizing sales performance, coaching sales professionals, managing inventory strategy, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate, and develop the dealership sales team to achieve and exceed sales goals. Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate sales consultants and support staff. Conduct regular sales meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews. Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. Sales Performance Management Establish and monitor sales objectives, KPIs, and departmental performance metrics. Track closing ratios, lead conversion, gross profit, and customer retention. Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share. Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Inventory & Merchandising Manage vehicle inventory levels and stocking strategies. Monitor inventory aging and implement plans to improve inventory turn. Collaborate with leadership on vehicle acquisition, pricing, and merchandising strategies. Ensure vehicles are properly marketed and displayed both online and on the lot. Customer Experience Support sales staff throughout the sales process to ensure a seamless customer experience. Address and resolve escalated customer concerns promptly and professionally. Promote a customer-first culture that drives repeat business and referrals. Monitor customer satisfaction scores and implement improvement initiatives. Financial & Operational Management Manage departmental profitability and expense control. Work closely with the Finance department to maximize dealership performance. Review sales reports and identify opportunities for growth and process improvement. Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and applicable regulations. QualificationsRequired 3-5+ years of automotive sales management experience. Proven track record of achieving sales goals and driving profitability. Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. Experience with CRM and dealership management systems (DMS). Strong analytical and organizational skills. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Preferred New and/or used vehicle sales management experience. Experience with digital retailing and online lead management. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred but not required).
