Retail Clothing Store Manager

Cinder + Salt is an eco-friendly, screen-printed apparel brand centered around artist-made & eco friendly design. And, we're looking for passionate, hard working people to join our team. We are currently seeking a full or part time Store Manager for our Chatham, MA location. Candidates should have background or passion for fashion & apparel, understand how excellent customer service translates to customer loyalty; employ creativity & have great interpersonal skills. Must be self motivated, able to work independently, be outgoing & enjoy talking to people. This is a position requires 30-40 hours a week and candidates must be able to work weekends during the summer. This position can be year round, or seasonal (Apr-Dec). We operate a seasonal store on Cape Cod however we are open to extending hours in the shoulder seasons and offering full time, year round work for the right candidate. Responsibilities include :

• Maintaining a thoughtfully merchandised & well curated storefront.
• Creating an inviting & engaging shopping experience for our guests
• Modeling excellent customer service
• Ensuring all cash handling and loss prevention procedures are followed
• Maximizing retail sales in store using our marketing strategies
• Basic store upkeep
• water plants, clean windows, sweep, etc
• Assisting guests with product recommendations, fitting room needs & packing & shipping orders
• Inventory management in coordination with our other locations Additional Responsibilities include :
• Contributing to social media through stories & engagement.
• Planning & executing monthly in-store events with set themes & budgets

Qualifications :

• 1-3 years experience in retail and/or sales in an adjacent field (fashion, gift, etc)
• Strong time management & organizational skills
• Exceptional communication & customer service skills
• Creative & visual skills and understanding of merchandising principles.
• A passion for sustainability & eco-friendly living
• Comfortable using POS systems, alarms and basic computer skills
