We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Shop Manager to join our team at Deer Pond Auto. As a Body Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operations of our body shop while ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining high-quality standards. •You must have an active Appraisal license (Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Damage Appraiser Series 16-6) to be considered for this role•

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and schedule appointments, ensuring efficient workflow in the body shop. Interact with customers, providing exceptional service and addressing their concerns or inquiries. Collaborate closely with technicians, painters, and estimators to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance work. Manage the repair process from start to finish, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately. Conduct vehicle inspections and assessments to determine the extent of repair work required. Calculate and prepare accurate estimates for repair costs using industry-standard tools and software (CCC and Mitchell). Coordinate with insurance companies, negotiating claims, and ensuring proper authorization for repairs. Order necessary parts and materials, managing inventory levels efficiently. Monitor the progress of repairs and communicate updates to customers regularly. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout all repair processes. 11. Maintain organized records and files for accurate documentation and future reference.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience working in a similar role within the automotive industry. Possession of a valid Automotive Appraiser license is required Strong knowledge and proficiency in industry-specific software systems such as CCC and Mitchell. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively resolve customer issues. Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational abilities. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively. Knowledge of automotive repair processes and procedures. Familiarity with insurance claims processes and negotiations.] A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across various roles.
