Retail Shift Lead

Position Overview:

Silver Therapeutics is seeking a dynamic and responsible Team Lead to oversee daily dispensary operations in the absence of higher management. As a Team Lead, you will act as the manager on duty, ensuring the smooth operation of the dispensary while providing leadership and support to the staff. This role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency, exceptional customer service, and a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead on duty during shifts, overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the dispensary. Responsible for opening and closing procedures, ensuring the dispensary is ready for business and secured after closing. Manage cash handling processes, including taking cash drops, making change, and closing out registers.

Inventory and Sales Floor Management:

Oversee inventory management, including moving inventory, conducting audits, and restocking products on the sales floor. Act as the vault controller, managing the dispensary's product vault and ensuring that inventory levels on the sales floor are adequate. Monitor and maintain the organization and appearance of the sales floor.

Customer and Staff Interaction:

Address escalated customer service issues, providing solutions and maintaining Silver Therapeutics' standards for customer satisfaction. Lead morning huddles to communicate daily goals, updates, and relevant information to staff. Train new staff as a subject matter expert and provide ongoing education to all budtenders to ensure high product knowledge and customer service skills.

Administrative and Support Duties:

Assign breaks and manage the scheduling of shifts to ensure adequate coverage. Handle returns, discounts, and other customer-related transactions as required. Communicate staff concerns and feedback to management, acting as a liaison between front-line employees and upper management.

Emergency and Compliance Handling:

Troubleshoot technology issues and maintain the functionality of dispensary systems. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements during daily operations. Respond to and manage any negative customer interactions or emergencies that arise on the floor.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in retail management or a supervisory role, preferably in a dispensary or similar setting. Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of resolving conflicts and managing customer relations. Knowledge of cannabis products, compliance laws, and dispensary operations is highly preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age High school diploma or equivalent; further training or certification in business, management, or related field is a plus.
