Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cannabis Retail Store Manager to lead our retail operations with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store activities, manage a motivated sales team, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. Your leadership will drive sales growth, maintain compliance with industry regulations, and foster a positive environment that promotes teamwork and operational excellence. Responsibilities Lead and supervise all store operations, including sales, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards. Manage employee schedules, shift assignments, and payroll processing to optimize staffing efficiency. Oversee inventory control processes, including purchasing, stock replenishment, and product rotation to maximize profitability. Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations related to cannabis sales, security protocols, and recordkeeping. Handle cash management duties such as cashiering, cash handling procedures, and balancing registers at shift end. Utilize POS systems for sales transactions and inventory updates while maintaining accurate bookkeeping records. Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and customer engagement. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide training on product knowledge, and foster a collaborative environment. Maintain a safe store environment by supervising security measures and ensuring staff follow safety protocols. Qualifications Proven management experience within the retail industry, especially in sales team supervision or store management roles. Strong knowledge of retail math, pricing strategies, inventory control, and POS systems. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Demonstrated skills in negotiation, customer service excellence, team leadership, and operational management. Experience with recruiting, training & development programs, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and budgeting. Familiarity with cannabis industry regulations or retail store product knowledge is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Supervising experience in retail environments such as grocery stores or specialty shops is highly valued. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently through excellent organizational skills and time management.
