We're looking to find a new team member who is passionate about fitness and loves meeting and working with people. As an Assistant General Manager , you play a crucial role in supporting the studio ownership and leadership with daily operations, sales performance and studio experience. You are a leader on the floor, ensuring that the team delivers top-tier customer service, meets studio goals, and fosters a strong community culture. This is a part-time position with some excellent perks that come along with it.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Front Desk & Studio Operations Open and close the studio on as-needed basis Warmly greet and check-in riders using studio management system (ClubReady) Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming lobby, community room and common area Ensure front desk ("CBX") team are following all checklists and protocols Answer phone calls, texts and emails in a timely and professional manner Track and perform new prospect and member follow up activities using CRM software (Loyalsnap) Train and actively coach the CBX team on hospitality and sales conversion processes Perform monthly shift scheduling of CBX team using scheduling platform (Netgym) Monitor and ensure all front desk shifts are covered and staffed sufficiently Customer Experience Welcome new riders with studio tours, class format overviews, and membership walkthroughs Build relationships with regular riders to foster community and drive retention Engage with new riders after intro classes to encourage return visits and provide membership options Address customer feedback with professionalism, escalating to owner when needed Process membership upgrades, downgrades, cancellations and freeze requests Monitor and respond to online studio experience reviews on a regular basis Support in-studio events, member challenges, and community programming Bike & Equipment Oversight Log and report maintenance issues to the owner promptly Ensure all cycling shoes, weights, and related accessories are stocked and organized Ensure post-class cleaning and equipment wipe-downs are done according to studio standards SKILLS Proven experience in a similar positions within fitness or hospitality environments Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising teams desired An affinity and passion for fitness Excellent communication skills to effectively manage staff and interact with customers, both in-person and over the phone Confidence and comfort in talking to customers to generate sales Solution-based and results oriented, competitive spirit Highly organized with a strong attention to detail Proficiency with computers and software PERKS Paid Time Off Free CycleBar membership Free membership to local partner fitness studios at Assembly Row Flexible schedule
