Job Description

Job Summary Responsible for the determination of company product conformance with customer requirements and/or internal company guidelines. Perform a wide variety of duties including complicated dimensional and visual inspections of all sizes and types on a variety of items being received, while in process, and in finished and/or assembled condition. Duties include the full use of all company owned precision measuring devices, reviewing previous inspections by others, performing all inspections and measurements, and other similar duties. Responsible for the complete inspection of company's and/or customer's finished goods and parts as the duties of the Quality Assurance Inspector and primary designee of the Quality Manager. Work from engineering drawings, sketches, route sheets, quality assurance policies and procedures. Use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments, and operate a variety of standard machine tools. Essential Job Functions 1. Responsible for maintenance and calibration of all measuring equipment in the facility. Perform all inside calibration of gauges. 2. Follow up on all incoming, internal, and vendor non-conforming reports, and participate in material review board meetings and procedures. Review all customer returns. 3. Conduct internal quality audits according to company quality assurance procedure. Check for compliance with written procedures, use of forms and various reports, etc. Interview employees regarding knowledge and compliance with company practices, and train where necessary. 4. Maintain inspection equipment and work areas in a neat and orderly condition. Detect and report equipment malfunctions, unusual situations, and other similar problems to the Quality Manager. Follow all safety rules and regulations and employ all safety devices and equipment required. 5. Perform other similar duties or those related to quality system procedures as necessary.
