A Retail Associate Manager assists the manager at a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. Supervises sales associates and retail store operations. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. May prepare work schedules and hire, train and evaluate sales associates. May supervise warehouse, cleaning, maintenance or security staff. Assists with resolving customer complaints.

Job Description

Assists in the direction of all in-store activities to achieve sales and profitability targets, and to ensure long-term business growth in accordance with company philosophy and established policies and procedures. The assistant store manager will support the implementation of the strategic direction of their store location to achieve all objectives and projects assigned by Cole Haan while maintaining a healthy team culture and store environment.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Deliver financial results: Drive financial growth by achieving sales and key KPI goals Exceed store EBITDA budget through responsibly managing payroll, supplies, and facilities Coach and develop staff to exceed individual and store goals Build a dedicated and good-natured team: Support and maintain a positive store environment by leading and developing a quality store team Assists in recruiting, hiring, training, and building a talent pipeline Urgently address and partner on performance issues using the Company tools Create a culture of customer obsession that caters to the extraordinary achiever: Deliver extraordinary customer service through your store team Execute and maintain visual merchandising standards consistent with company expectations Consistently communicate customer, market, and product feedback Deliver operational consistency: Achieve all operational objectives with regards to loss prevention, health, and safety Supports the team to ensure compliance of all company policies and procedures As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Cole Haan is committed to meeting the spirit as well as the letter of the law. Full-Time Position College degree preferred or related field experience Candidates must be at least 18 years of age Retail management experience preferred Must have open availability and the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of a retail business, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs Must have an independent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountability Knowledge in driving sales, business acumen, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention Demonstrated ability to lead a team to coordinate operational tasks, including receiving shipment and maintain store cleanliness; will participate in those tasks when additional support is needed Able to coordinate and manage a team to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Knowledge in staffing, coaching, counseling, training, and development Demonstrated ability to support a team-oriented environment Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written English Strong computer skills including POS Systems and Microsoft Office Physical requirements include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder and stand for extended periods of time, including repetitive use of upper extremities

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25-50 pounds occasionally
