DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Store Receiver Anticipate incoming deliveries, and direct work to maximize efficiency of storage areas. Receives and checks deliveries to verify piece count and quality obtain credit from vendor and notify appropriate staff of discrepancies. Signs for deliveries with appropriate adjustments noted on invoice and route invoice appropriately. Coordinates returns ensuring that returned items get back to appropriate suppliers in a timely manner, and credits are issued. Scans all invoices into the "myscan" program and sorts "myscans" into proper folders. Assists with receiving and unloading as assigned. Maintains department equipment in working order, keeps and monitors applicable maintenance logs, and ensures proper personnel are notified of breakdowns. Protects store assets by participating in periodic inventory, following established security practices/policies. Maintains a high level of customer service to internal and external customers. Supports co-op core values and aligns with the Co-op Code of Conduct. Builds and maintains customer satisfaction with the products and services offered by the co-op. Others duties as assigned. Manager on Duty (MOD) Serve as Manager on Duty approximately one shift per week as part of the regular schedule. Provide Manager on Duty coverage as needed for occasional manager vacations, call outs, or other store staffing needs. Provide support to personnel and departments throughout the store. Perform store opening and closing procedures when assigned. Monitor store facilities and personnel to ensure a safe and clean environment. Interact positively and professionally with staff and customers, exemplifying the standards outlined in the Code of Conduct. Provide operational oversight and direction to employees while serving as MOD. Consciously contribute to a workplace culture that is consistent with The Common Market's guiding principles and values. Appropriately document and communicate information, incidents, and call outs to management and applicable personnel. Connect regularly with department managers to improve storewide communication and operations. Monitor facilities and communicate observed needed repairs. Address immediate, unforeseen maintenance and repair issues as they occur. Maintain customer service standards and support customer satisfaction while serving as MOD.
Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
High School Diploma or equivalent experience. A minimum of one (2) year's experience in a retail environment. A minimum of one (1) year's experience and familiarity with natural foods strongly preferred. A minimum of one (1) year's experience of POS and receiving experience. Catapult experience a strong plus. Supports the co-op's core values and aligns with the Co-op Code of Conduct. Adapts readily based on evolving co-op needs or in response to feedback. Maintains composure in highly stressful or adverse situations. Computer proficiency and familiarity with MS Office Suite.
ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Flexibility to work any shift, including mornings, middays, evenings, weekends. Ability to work in varying temperatures (approximately 20°F - 90°F). Ability to stand or sit for long periods at a time. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and climb. Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Reliable access to transportation.
