Job Description

SMR is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Part-Time Campus Store Manager. This role is ideal for an organized and motivated individual who enjoys creating a welcoming shopping experience while managing inventory, merchandising, and customer service. This is a part-time, hourly position that encompasses 10-15 hours a week, excluding special events, which requires evening and weekend work Responsibilities include: Commitment to serving the SMR community by promoting our brand through strong customer service skills and effective communication. Execute online sales, sales promotions and special events (store, campus, community). Operate POS system through all aspects of purchasing and inventory. Select vendors by assessing competitiveness of product quality and pricing. Maintain appropriate inventory control in alignment with store operational procedures. Keep all areas of the store environment neat, clean, and organized. Partner with Campus Store Committee and the SMR Business Office to review store financials and recalibrate goals to drive sales. Shipping/Receiving responsibilities require being able to lift 25 pounds. Highly organized with an advanced level of technology skills, including Excel, POS software, uploading photos and maintaining the online portion of the SMR Campus webstore. Ensure the security of assets, maintaining a safe environment and the highest level of customer service. . Anticipated special events include, but are not limited to: Beginning of school season (August 7 - August 30th) New Parent Night (August) First week of school (August) Back to School Night (September) Football/Basketball Home Games (September through February) Homecoming (Early October) Open House (Late October) Grandparents Day (November) Registration (March) Used Uniform Sale (June)
