As a Retail store manager A you'll oversee the daily operations of a store, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively. From hiring & training your fellow team members to strategizing on new ideas to improve the success of our store. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance Recommend products based on pet type, age, dietary needs, and customer concerns Operate the register, handle transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling Stock shelves, rotate products, and maintain clean, organized aisles Assist with receiving deliveries and inventory counts Maintain store cleanliness (including spot cleaning accidents when needed) Learn product knowledge and stay aware of promotions and new items Provide exceptional customer service to every visitor—two-legged and four-legged! Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing, inventory management, and merchandising Hire, train, and supervise staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment Ensure exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns promptly Maintain accurate inventory levels and coordinate product orders with vendors Maintain store cleanliness and ensure compliance with company policies Manage scheduling, payroll, and basic record-keeping tasks Support community events, promotions, and adoption partnerships as needed Qualifications Previous retail or customer service experience preferred Comfortable interacting with animals of all sizes Ability to lift up to [30-50 lbs], bend, reach, and stand for long periods Friendly, positive attitude with strong communication skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends/holidays as needed 2+ years of retail management or supervisory experience (pet industry a plus) Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods Comfortable learning point-of-sale and inventory systems Passion for animals and commitment to excellent customer service Why You'll Love Working With Us Employee discounts on pet food and supplies Opportunities for training and advancement Supportive, pet-loving team environment Job requirements: Minimum of 2 years' experience leading retail teams(Pet retail experience preferred). Associates 1-2 years customer service prefered. Must possess the flexibility and ability to work retail hours. (including nights, weekends and holidays).
Weekly day range:
Monday to Friday Weekend availability Must be able to perform basic math. Must have basic computer skills. Able to lift 50 lb. Pet food, treat, and supplement training provided in store and available online with free product available post training. Works well in high-volume and fast-paced environment. Strong communication and people skills.
