Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive Shop Manager to lead our automotive service center with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive the shop's success through effective team leadership and technical knowledge. Your passion for automotive repair and management will help us deliver top-tier vehicle maintenance and repair services while fostering a positive environment for both staff and clients. Duties Manage daily shop operations, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and ensuring timely completion of repairs Lead and motivate a team of service technicians, mechanics, and support staff to achieve high performance standards Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, transmissions, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and collision repair Utilize estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to prepare accurate repair estimates and service write-ups Upsell additional services and parts to enhance customer satisfaction while increasing shop revenue through effective sales techniques Maintain excellent client communication by explaining repairs clearly, providing updates, and ensuring a positive customer experience Handle cash transactions and manage parts inventory efficiently while adhering to dealership or shop policies Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and quality control procedures Experience Proven experience in automotive service management or auto shop supervision with a strong background in auto repair or dealership settings Extensive mechanic experience with knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, transmissions, oil changes, collision repair, and other essential vehicle maintenance tasks Familiarity with estimating software such as Mitchell or CCC ONE; experience with computer-aided vehicle damage estimating is highly desirable Service technician experience combined with strong customer service skills to build lasting client relationships Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including auto body repair, alignment, suspension work, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair, air brake systems, and more Demonstrated ability in auto sales and service writing to promote additional repairs or upgrades effectively Dealership experience is preferred but not required; a solid understanding of auto service management principles is essential Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to support client transportation needs when necessary Join us as an Automotive Shop Manager where your leadership fuels success! $65,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
