Responsibilities/Qualifications:

As a Shift Supervisor at Pet Supplies Plus, you're passionate about people and their pets. Providing exceptional, neighborly service at every opportunity during your work day, you will: assist a neighbor in choosing the perfect toy for a lab who loves to fetch set an example for other team members by delivering fantastic neighborly service assist the store's team leaders by reinforcing the daily operational procedures and performance expectations Shift Supervisor key responsibilities include: Partnering with store team leaders to learn and reinforce the PSP standards and daily management routines that make your store a neighborhood favorite Providing leadership coverage and management functions up to four times per week when team leaders are offsite Learning and performing back office procedures to comply with standards and expectations, such as making labels and updating price changes Adhering to operational policies and procedures (safety, cleanliness, and security) that ensure exceptional service is being provided to neighbors communicating opportunities to improve community and neighbor engagement or store performance to team leaders Involvement in store recruiting, training, and team member development Shift Supervisor candidates will have: 1+ years of retail experience 1+ year of supervising/leadership experience Strong sales and customer service skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as effective communication skills Ability to operate all equipment, including a pallet jack, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds (that cat litter can be heavy!) Ability to work flexible schedules, have reliable transportation, must pass a drug and background screening, and be 18 years of age or older.
