Assistant Manager at Ice Cream Shop

Great Lakes Ice Cream Company, Inc. is hiring an assistant manager for our Midland location.

We are the Great Lakes Bay Region's premier ice cream shop with scoop shops in both Midland and Shields. We make super-premium quality homemade ice cream including traditional and exotic flavors. Family owned and operated since 2003.

• we discuss and gather opinions on new flavors, products, procedures and policy changes directly with our staff before implementation.

ASSISTANT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure policies and procedures are being followed
• Resolve issues scoopers may encounter during a shift
• Be the point of contact for the store manager and general manager during shifts
• Assist with training new staff
• Answer employee and customer questions
• Attend weekly manager meetings on Thursday at 10:00
• MANDATORY
• Be on-call every third week to cover shifts if someone calls in

• MANDATORY GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct customer service
• Scooping ice cream
• Typical cleaning + sanitation in a food service environment
• Making waffle cones
• Lifting tables and chairs (30-50lbs)
• Moving tubs of ice cream
• Completing Checklists

REQUIREMENTS

• Some leadership experience would be greatly valued
• Age 18+
• AVAILABLE
