45 hours per week Position Overview The Floor Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the dispensary floor, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while maintaining compliance with all company policies and Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) requirements. This position is expected to lead by example, develop employees, protect company assets, and ensure every shift runs efficiently, safely, and compliantly. As a member of the management team, the Floor Manager is expected to be present, engaged, and available to support the business whenever operational needs arise. Key Responsibilities Lead daily dispensary operations and ensure smooth workflow throughout each shift. Supervise, coach, and develop Budtenders and Shift Leads to meet company expectations. Deliver outstanding customer service while resolving customer concerns professionally. Ensure compliance with all KOB policies, Michigan CRA regulations, and standard operating procedures. Monitor sales performance and coach employees to achieve individual and store goals. Maintain a clean, organized, and secure dispensary. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Work closely with the General Manager and Inventory Manager to achieve operational goals. Support inventory counts, product organization, and METRC compliance. Enforce company policies consistently while maintaining a positive work environment. Respond to operational issues and make sound decisions in real time. Cash Handling & Asset Protection Cash accountability is one of the most important responsibilities of this position. The Floor Manager is expected to protect company assets through strict adherence to cash handling procedures.
Responsibilities include:
Counting and verifying all register tills before and after each shift. Performing accurate cash drops according to company policy. Balancing daily deposits and ensuring all cash paperwork is complete and accurate. Investigating and reporting all shortages, overages, or discrepancies immediately. Maintaining the security of registers, safes, cash rooms, and deposits. Ensuring every employee follows KOB cash handling procedures without exception. Training team members on proper cash handling and holding them accountable for compliance. Reporting any suspected theft, fraud, or policy violations immediately. Protecting company assets by maintaining the highest level of integrity and attention to detail. Failure to follow cash handling procedures may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. Leadership Expectations A Floor Manager is expected to: Lead with professionalism, accountability, and integrity. Be approachable while maintaining high standards. Hold employees accountable consistently and fairly. Coach and develop team members through regular feedback. Communicate effectively with upper management and fellow managers. Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations and employee matters. Adapt quickly to changing business needs. Qualifications Previous retail management or cannabis dispensary leadership experience preferred. Knowledge of Michigan cannabis regulations and METRC preferred. Experience with Dutchie POS or similar retail systems. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Must be dependable, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information responsibly. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, and perform routine retail tasks throughout the shift. Work Schedule This is a salaried leadership position requiring a minimum commitment of 45 hours per week . Additional hours may be required based on business needs, staffing shortages, inventory counts, audits, store events, or other operational demands.
