Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a McDonald's Kitchen Closer, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen during the closing shift. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, maintain high standards of food safety, and contribute to a clean, organized workspace. As a Kitchen Closer, you will be responsible for final food preparations, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas, and ensuring all equipment is properly shut down for the night. Your energetic attitude and attention to detail will help us deliver quality service and a safe environment for both team members and customers. Responsibilities Prepare final food items according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including fryers, grills, ovens, and food prep tools. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by cleaning surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with sanitation protocols. Manage food safety procedures by monitoring temperatures, proper storage, and handling of ingredients. Complete closing duties such as restocking supplies, labeling leftovers, and organizing storage areas. Conduct cash register operations for any last-minute customer transactions or refunds during closing hours. Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed diligently throughout the shift. Assist with food service customer order management when needed, supporting a positive dining experience. Uphold sanitation standards through regular cleaning routines including bussing tables and maintaining a tidy workspace. Support team members in completing shift reports and documenting any issues or incidents. Qualifications Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! Knowledge of food preparation techniques and operating kitchen equipment safely. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members. Ability to maintain cleanliness standards and adhere to food safety regulations at all times.
