Job Description
Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic •General Manager• to lead and oversee all aspects of our retail operation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive management experience, and a comprehensive understanding of retail sales, inventory control, customer service, and team development. This role requires strategic planning, operational excellence, and the ability to foster a positive work environment to ensure the store's success and growth. Responsibilities Lead daily Hotel operations, ensuring smooth functioning across all departments including sales, inventory management, and customer service. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, improve customer satisfaction, and optimize store performance. Manage staff recruitment, training & development, employee orientation, and performance evaluations. Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial reporting to maintain fiscal health. Supervise inventory control, purchasing, merchandising, stocking, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability. Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Manage shift schedules, cashiering operations, POS systems, and cash handling procedures. Coordinate marketing initiatives to promote store offerings and enhance brand visibility. Conduct regular team meetings to motivate staff, communicate goals, and foster a collaborative environment. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Utilize management skills to supervise employees effectively while fostering leadership development within the team. Requirements Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities. Strong leadership abilities with excellent organizational skills and time management capabilities. Proficiency in retail math, sales management, inventory management, POS systems, and merchandising techniques. Exceptional communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Experience in employee recruitment, training & development, payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and marketing strategies. Demonstrated ability in negotiation, purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and sales growth initiatives. Previous assistant manager or store management experience preferred. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
