Job Description
Head Shop & Wellness Store Manager To be considered, you MUST include a cover letter specific to the Happy Hippie Wellness(companion store to The Dispensary - Cassville) mission, resume, and three professional references from former employers. Position Summary:
We seek an outgoing, highly positive, personally responsible, and passionate head Shop & Wellness Store Manager who is looking for long-term employment in a knowledge-based retail environment. This manager will join an established administrative management team to maintain the operations and activities of the store while abiding by strict policies, procedures and operational guidelines. Our manager is responsible for a being positive, team-oriented leader with strong organizational skills and a high drive for success. They are to supervise and guide staff on their days on shift, help customers, have a thorough head shop and alternative wellness knowledge and passion, help with inventory management, cash handling, schedule building, and take personal accountability for the logistical operations of the store's flow and success with limited supervision of the administrative team. You must possess the ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences both in email, text, and verbally, including people dealing with severe pain and illness, your employees, and vendors from the wellness industry. You must have a passion for cannabis, head shop supplies, and alternative wellness healing properties as well as patience to deal with retail customers with complaints and concerns. This position is a solid blend between operations, retail, customer service, and healthcare. You must be able to stand on your feet 10 hours a day, count change accurately, use scales to weigh product accurately, and blend with our existing strong team of knowledgeable, dedicated employees with strong leadership principles and organizational abilities.Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervision of sales and customer experience by maintaining a tidy, safe, and inviting store environment; Ensure the sales floor is properly stocked and the presence of the store is well maintained; Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures; Provides assistance to all Patient Care Associates and budtenders on a daily basis; Maintain product knowledge; Greeting customers warmly when they enter; Accurately use and maintain the Point Of Sale (POS) system in person and for placing phone orders; Assists in the onboarding process of new hires and annual training; Assists in development of new training material, including on-going education; Implements all company-provided training and ensures compliance with state and federal laws; Correct cash handling and discount application; Accurate and timely data entry of patient profiles; Verifying proper paperwork, documentation and ID for customers; Open and Close Money with Accurate Reporting; Print & Complete Inventory Counts/Reports; Verify Cleaning/Closing Duties of All Staff; Compile & verify bulk flower accuracy daily and report discrepancies to Inventory Manager; Keep ordering cabinet filled throughout the day with accurate batches and products; Be able to find in the vault and verify open batches in Point of Sale; Verify in Point of Sale/vault items that are sold out and update Slack with every sold out item; Move forward new batches in backend Point of Sale when an old batch sells out (if have another batch); Ensure store cleanliness/organization daily, including that all bulk jars are washed and drying; Ensure positive experience for all patients and customers; Ensure building is appropriately locked, lights are turned off where appropriate, the temperature; controls are set appropriately for overnight or the weekend for the projected weather forecast; Evaluate staffing needs throughout the day and assign tasks, as needed, or send staff home; Ensure employee adherence to company policies; Address actions needing disciplinary discussion with staff; Receive orders in state compliance system and Point of Sale; Run store independently within reason through answering customer questions utilizing materials on hand (SOPs, Rules & Regulations; and on-site manuals); Be able to assist/instruct employees in case of errors with clear, consistent instructions that promotes engaged learning (or just needing help on a daily basis: ie: difficulty on tablets/computers, refunding tickets when appropriate, correcting errors, etc); and Other duties as assigned by the Administrative Management Team.Education:
Bachelors Degree or above (required) Previous retail management, food service, logistics, or supervisory experience (required) Healthcare experience (preferred) Other Misc.Requirements:
Must be 21 Background check required; no felonies allowed except felony convictions for cannabis crimes will be exempt Professional, tidy appearance and good personal hygiene Must be on time and ready to work when scheduled with reliable transportation with no excessive absences Basic cannabis knowledge is required, the drive to learn more daily is also required Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekend, evening, and holiday shifts and store location assignments up to 3 hours awayCompensation:
