An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

Manage and oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient serviceLead, motivate, and mentor team members to foster a positive and collaborative work environmentCreate and manage employee schedules, balancing staffing needs with business demandsHandle cash transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure proper cash management procedures are followedProvide top-notch customer service and promptly resolve any issues or concernsAssist in inventory management, including stock ordering and trackingEnsure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standardsParticipate in hands-on tasks such as answering phones, taking orders, and food preparation when neededMaintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environmentCollaborate with upper management to implement company policies and achieve store goalsConduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team membersIdentify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance store efficiency and customer satisfactionQualificationsProven leadership experience in a fast-paced food service or retail environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and interact with customersExcellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skillsProficiency in basic math and cash handlingDemonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic work environmentCustomer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality serviceBasic computer skills for operating point-of-sale systems and other store technologyFlexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plusFood safety certification preferred (e.g., ServSafe)Knowledge of local food safety regulations and best practicesFamiliarity with inventory management systemsPhysical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periodsPositive attitude and ability to maintain composure under pressureStrong organizational skills and attention to detailGoal-oriented mindset with a drive to meet and exceed targetsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
