An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing proceduresManage and motivate team members to maintain high performance standardsEnsure excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptlyHandle cash management and financial transactions accuratelyAssist in inventory management and supply orderingImplement and maintain food safety and quality control standardsCollaborate with the store manager to achieve sales targets and improve store performanceTrain and develop new team membersAssist in creating employee schedules and managing staffing levelsMaintain a clean and organized work environmentParticipate in food preparation and order fulfillment as neededRespond to and resolve customer complaints effectivelyQualificationsPrevious experience in food service or retail management preferredStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsProficiency in basic math and problem-solvingCustomer-focused mindset with a friendly and positive attitudeAbility to lift up to 25 poundsFlexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekendsFood safety certification or willingness to obtainHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredProficiency in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize effectivelyDemonstrated reliability and punctualityAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
