Job Description

Gym/Site Supervisor Job Summary:
Community Ed is looking for a Gym/Site Supervisor to join our team! Supervisor Community Ed youth sports programs. This position is critical for communicating and enforcing the department's rules and regulations for youth sports.
Duties:
Monitor spectator conduct at youth sports events Assist custodian in setting up equipment for specific activity Understand program guidelines when interacting with spectators and volunteer coaches as required Record scores of contest and maintain records of part-time employee's hours Report referee attendance Communicate incidents from scheduled contest to Supervisor that involved participants, spectators and volunteer parents Must be knowledgeable of sport taking place and address concerns before, during or after contest as it relates to the rules that govern the sport and resolve the matter Perform other duties as assigned by the
Supervisor of Sports & Fitness Requirements and Qualifications:
Knowledge of rules and regulations of the sport being supervised (coaches, officials or participants of the sports preferred) High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of sports instructor experience preferred Friendly and outgoing with excellent communication skills Ability to work with participants who may need specialized attention (Community Ed is a fully inclusive organization.)
Skills:
First aid/CPR training and certification preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work afternoons, nights and/or weekends Positive attitude, encouraging and patient with participants and spectators Able to build positive and professional relationships with custodians, participants and spectators Position involves frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing Able to lift 50+ lbs.
