Essential Responsibilities:
Coordinate and provide technical, quality, and service leadership to the shop team Train and ensure all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations Mentor and motivate team in safety, quality, and productivity improvements Coach and counsel employees regarding individual performance and development needs Manage organization, safety, and maintenance of the shop facility Guide service and repair processes including personnel requirements, material needs, facility needs, and tools and equipment Ensure all established cost, quality, and delivery objectives and commitments are met Establish quality control standards and obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products to be repaired Take corrective measures to minimize downtime and interruption of schedules Review repair and operating reports and direct resolution of operational, repair, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
Qualifications & Skills Required:
High School diploma or GED is required Proven ability to lead a team of mechanics and willingness to work overtime on short notice Strong communication and organizational skills with a proactive, customer-focused attitude Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and adapting quickly to changing priorities Basic proficiency with computer applications including Gmail, Microsoft Word, and Excel Physical capability to lift and maneuver heavy objects, parts, equipment, and materials Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision Why Join Cogent?
