An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

New Location!!! ACE Hardware in Saint Peters, MO is accepting applications/resumes for the Assistant Manager position. This is a great growth opportunity as our ACE division is expanding. SUMMARY To assist the Ace Department Manager in establishing and maintain Maximum Customer Care, accountability for the operation of the store insuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising, inventory, expense control, Human Resources Management, and managing operating costs and shrinkage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To treat customers as guests with respect and courtesy while providing them with quick, friendly service. This includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of Maximum Customer Care. Control shrink, expenses and payroll. Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing and assortment in all departments; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked. Ensure compliance with all laws, policies and procedures. Act as NFI's representative both within the store and within the community. Continually evaluate and react to performance issues. Assist Store Director to train and develop store team. Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system. Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store. Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee store operations. Ensure all Loss Prevention policies and procedures are followed by all Associates. Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed by all Associates. Any other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Other duties assigned by supervisor.
COMPENSATION
Based On Experience FT, Hourly position with benefits that include annual wage reviews, medical, dental, prescription and life insurance, paid holidays, vacations. We are an Associate owned company with a retirement plan that includes an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, Profit Sharing and 401
