Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. You will play a key role in managing staff, inventory control, and maintaining store standards to create a welcoming shopping environment. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily store operations and ensure compliance with company policies. Supervise and train staff to enhance their skills in customer service, sales, and product knowledge. Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies. Conduct employee orientation and facilitate ongoing training and development programs. Handle payroll processing and maintain accurate bookkeeping records. Engage in recruiting efforts to attract top talent for the team. Utilize POS systems for transactions and manage cash handling procedures effectively. Implement marketing strategies to promote store initiatives and drive sales. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the store. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership. Skills Strong negotiation skills to facilitate effective vendor relationships. Proficient in employee orientation processes and interviewing techniques. Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions. Experience in recruiting, payroll processing, and bookkeeping is essential. Expertise in inventory management, retail sales, and cash handling procedures. Proven supervisory experience with a focus on team management and leadership. Familiarity with retail math concepts for effective pricing and sales management. Strong organizational skills coupled with excellent time management abilities. Exceptional communication skills to engage with customers and team members effectively. Background in merchandising, stocking, marketing, or grocery store operations is advantageous.
