Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Store Manager to lead our retail team and drive store success. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure excellent customer service, and implement sales strategies to meet business goals. Your leadership will foster a positive shopping environment, motivate team members, and uphold company standards. Responsibilities Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance to build a high-performing team. Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning of sales, inventory control, cash handling, and customer service processes. Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets while maintaining excellent customer relations. Manage inventory levels through effective stock management, purchasing, merchandising, and pricing strategies to optimize sales and minimize shrinkage. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements across all store activities. Utilize POS systems for transactions, monitor cashiering activities, and ensure efficient checkout experiences for customers. Coordinate marketing efforts within the store to promote products and special promotions that attract customers. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication skills, employee orientation programs, and ongoing training & development initiatives. Implement effective shift management practices to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours while controlling labor costs. Experience Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with a strong background in supervising teams and managing daily operations. Demonstrated proficiency in retail math including pricing strategies, sales management, inventory control, and budgeting. Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory management tools. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team environment. Excellent communication skills Prior experience in recruiting, interviewing candidates, employee orientation, training & development is highly desirable. Knowledge of retail sales techniques such as merchandising, stocking procedures, marketing initiatives, and promotional planning. Familiarity with wireless sales or related product categories is advantageous but not required.
